What is In-Person Verification (IPV) and why it is needed?
In-Person Verification (IPV) is a process where the broker verifies the client and their documents in person. This is mandatory for every non-KRA client before opening a Trading and DEMAT Account.
Previously, IPV was done physically, with a broker’s representative visiting the client for verification. However, with advancements in technology, IPV can now be conducted online through a webcam.
