Who can avail eDIS facility?

The eDIS (electronic Delivery Instruction Slip) facility can be availed by the following individuals:

  1. Demat Account Holders: Anyone who holds a Demat account with a depository participant (DP) that offers the eDIS facility can use it. This includes both individual and institutional investors.
  2. Clients of Stock Brokers: Clients who have an active trading account with a stockbroker that supports eDIS can utilize this feature for transferring shares electronically.
  3. NRI Investors: Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) who have a Demat account in India can also avail themselves of the eDIS facility, provided their account is registered with a broker that offers this service.
  4. Authorized Users: Individuals who have been authorized by the Demat account holder (like family members or financial advisors) may also be able to use the eDIS facility, subject to the broker’s policies. eDIS simplifies the process of transferring shares for sale, making it accessible to a wide range of investors.
