What is the difference between the Date and value date in the back office?

In your financial ledger, there are two options: DATE and VALUE DATE.

Date: This is the timestamp for when the transaction is created in the system.

Value Date: The value date is a future date used to determine the present value of a product or security that fluctuates in price. It is the date on which the value of funds, assets, or money becomes effective.
